E/R: Montell Jordan, Ronnie DeVoe honoured with traditional naming ceremony in Akuapem
Legendary American singer Montell Jordan and Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe have been honoured with a traditional naming ceremony at the palace of the Okuapehene in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The ceremony, held at the palace of Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, symbolically welcomed the musicians and their delegation into the royal lineage of Akuapem.

According to the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), the cultural event marked a moment of heritage, cultural reconnection and honour for the visiting artists.
The ceremony forms part of activities under the Afrozons Sound Off – Ghana Independence Edition.
The initiative is supported by the GTA, with ground handling and coordination by Charterhouse Ghana.
