Otumfuo to grace Hogbetsotso festival

The Anlo Traditional Council and Hogbe Institute, organisers of the 2019 Hogbetsotso festival, have challenged 36 communities within the Anlo state to use the occasion as a platform to foster unity and cohesion among the locals.
According to the Head of University of Ghana's Department of Dance Studies, Dr Sylvanus Kwashie, the festival is anchored on the agenda to assemble cultural heritage bodies to champion development goals of the Anlo state.
Speaking to Class News after a press briefing ahead of the festival, Dr Kwashie revealed that Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will grace the occasion as a special guest.
He noted that the invitation to the Asantehene is aimed at fostering a bond of unity between the Anlo state and Asante kingdom.
The 2019 Hogbetsotso festival is slated for Saturday, 2 November 2019 at Hogbe Park, Anloga, Volta Region. It will be observed by 36 communities within Anlo.
