The National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, has led the National Executives of the Association to pay a courtesy call on the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey.
The visit aimed to congratulate Dr. Lartey, a member of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, on her elevation, to pray with her, and to discuss matters of national importance concerning women and children.
Lady Mrs. Wengam, who is also the wife of the church's General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, commended the Gender Minister for being a role model for women and consistently demonstrating the virtues of humility, modesty, diligence, integrity, and excellence in all matters.
She also lauded Dr. Lartey for excelling in her role as a Member of Parliament and Minister of State, and entreated her to remain rooted in Christ.
The Gender Minister thanked the delegation for their visit and called on the church to join in the fight against the abuse of women, children, and the vulnerable.
