Bagbin rallies support for Black Stars ahead of World Cup opener against Panama
Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has thrown his weight behind the Black Stars as they prepare to begin their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with a crucial opening fixture against Panama.
In a message released on Tuesday, June 17, the Speaker assured the national team of Parliament's unwavering support as they represent Ghana on football's biggest stage.
Mr. Bagbin called on Ghanaians to unite behind the Black Stars, emphasizing that national support for the team should transcend political affiliations, religious beliefs and ethnic differences throughout the tournament.
