The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP), Osman Ayariga ESQ, has strongly advised beneficiaries of the programme not to sell the machines and equipment provided to them.
He urged them to rather use the kits productively to secure their futures and help reduce unemployment in the country.
He made the remarks during the presentation of equipment to masters and apprentices as part of the pilot phase of the programme at the Cape Coast Metropolis and the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Municipal in the Central Region.
The tools distributed are intended to support skills development in garment making, hairdressing, carpentry and masonry.
Also speaking at the event, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA), Samuel Atta Mills, encouraged the apprentices to remain focused and committed to learning their trades to shape a brighter future.
