Children’s Support Fund for August 6 helicopter crash victims’ children hits GHS 3.57m and US$20,000

Between August 19 and 28, 2025, contributions came from both institutions and individuals, including Ghana Airport Ltd, ARB Apex Bank PLC, STL Foundation, Olam Agric, Fidelity Bank Ghana, ADB Bank, GLICO General Insurance, and the National Insurance Commission, alongside several private donors.
Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, expressed gratitude to all contributors, stressing that the donations would ensure the sustained welfare and education of the affected children.
She also encouraged the public to continue supporting the initiative, noting that donations can be made through Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited (Stanbic Heights Branch, Accra) into the following accounts:

Dr. Valerie Sawyerr announced that a list of donors will be published weekly to ensure transparency and accountability.
The August 6 helicopter crash remains one of Ghana’s deadliest air tragedies in recent years, and the Fund has been established to provide long-term support for the children of the victims.
