David Sitsofe Tamakloe elected PRINPAG President

The Editor of the New Republic newspaper, Mr. David Sitsofe Tamakloe, has been elected President of the Private Newspaper and Online Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG).
In a keenly contested election, Mr. Tamakloe secured 87 votes to defeat his main opponent, Mr. Awudu Mahama, who garnered 34 votes.
Other elected executives include Michael Antwi Agyei as Vice President and Prince Mayembe Kawuunda as Organising Secretary. Naana Akleh Fordia was chosen as Treasurer, while Emmanuel Opare Gyan was elected as Public Affairs Officer.
The new leadership is expected to steer PRINPAG through the next phase of its work in strengthening private newspaper publishing and advancing press freedom in Ghana.
