David Sitsope Tamakloe to be sworn in as PRINPAG President today

Today marked a significant occasion as Mr. David Sitsope Tamakloe will be officially sworn in as the President of the Private Newspapers Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG).
The will ceremony bring together members of the media fraternity, stakeholders, and dignitaries to witness the leadership transition.
Mr. Tamakloe, who was recently elected to lead the association, takes office at a time when the role of independent journalism in Ghana’s democracy remains critical.
As President, he is expected to spearhead initiatives aimed at strengthening press freedom, promoting ethical standards, and advancing the interests of private newspaper publishers across the country.
His swearing-in marks the beginning of a new chapter for PRINPAG, with expectations high for his tenure to deliver reforms and foster unity within the association.
He will be sworn in with Mr Michael Antwi Agyei, Vice President, Prince Kawounda, Organising Secretary, Naa Aklerh Kubi, Financial Secretary and Treasurer and Mr Emmanuel Opare Djan, Public Relations and External Affairs officer.
The swearing-in will take place at Tang Palace with the Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, as the Guest of Honour and the Chairperson of the National Media Commission, Prof Akua Opoku Britwum.
The President-elect, in a message to members ahead of the swearing-in, said: Dear Esteemed Members of the Private Newspaper and Online Publishers Association (PRINPAG),
As we wait anxiously for the momentous occasion of the handing over and swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected PRINPAG executives tomorrow, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride for each and every one of you who has been a part of this remarkable journey.
Your dedication and commitment to our association have truly set us apart and propelled us towards a brighter future.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt commendations to the outgoing executives for their invaluable contributions and unwavering dedication to the growth and success of PRINPAG.
In particular, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to our outgoing president, Edwin Arthur, for his exceptional stewardship and leadership during his tenure. We are immensely grateful for his guidance and vision, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
As we embark on this new chapter with the incoming executives, I invite each and every member to join hands and work together to elevate the image of our association and chart a new course that will benefit us all.
Let us honour the legacy of our founding fathers and founders with a renewed sense of purpose and unity.
I have every confidence that our newly elected executives will lead us on a journey of active participation and growth, ensuring that every member of PRINPAG has a voice and a stake in our shared success.
