NPP will bounce back stronger with Dr Adutwum – Opoku Mensah

Spokesperson for Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to despair over the party’s loss in the Akwatia by-election, stressing that the future remains bright for the party under Dr. Adutwum’s vision.
In a statement following the defeat, Mr. Mensah described the setback as an awakening call that should ignite the party’s collective spirit and commitment toward a stronger comeback. He emphasized that the NPP possesses superior policies and programs capable of transforming Ghana’s development agenda.
“We may have lost the seat, but this should awaken our collective spirit and actions towards a stronger comeback, with more hunger for the ultimate, when we know we have better policies and programs to develop the country,” the statement read.
According to him, the “agenda of hope and bold reforms” being advanced by Dr. Adutwum is not only geared toward national development but also toward strengthening the NPP as a viable political force.
Mr. Mensah stressed the need for effective strategies, respect for collective interests, and operational efficiency from the party’s machinery to ensure victory in future contests.
He further highlighted the importance of Ghana’s youth to the party’s renewal process, noting that their prosperity and opportunities in the economy should remain at the heart of the NPP’s vision.
“The youth are our focus. We cannot disappoint them, and we cannot look unconcerned. Their future only looks bright under our watch, where opportunities are created for their individual prosperity through an economy where every skill and talent has a place in the market,” he said.
Concluding, Mr. Mensah maintained that with Dr. Adutwum’s leadership, the NPP would “bounce back stronger than before” and reposition itself as the number one alternative for national transformation.
