ECG restores vending system following flood-related disruption
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says it has fully restored its vending system and payment platforms after disruptions caused by the recent floods.
In a public notice issued on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, the company said technical challenges affecting its systems had been resolved, allowing customers to resume normal electricity credit purchases.
According to ECG, customers can now purchase electricity credit through the ECG PowerApp or at authorised vending points nationwide.
The company advised customers who continue to experience vending difficulties to contact its customer support centre for assistance.
"Customers experiencing any challenge with vending should kindly call our Contact Centre on 0302 611611 or via our social media handles @ECGghOfficial," the statement said.
ECG thanked customers for their patience and cooperation during the disruption and said the restoration would improve access to electricity credit purchases across the country.
