Embassy of Ghana, Doha urges nationals in Qatar to register amid rising regional tensions
The Embassy of Ghana, Doha has called on all Ghana nationals living in Qatar to immediately complete an emergency registration exercise as part of precautionary measures to safeguard citizens amid growing instability in the region.
In a notice issued on March 2, 2026, the Embassy said the registration forms part of its emergency preparedness strategy in response to heightened tensions and unrest across parts of the Middle East.
According to the mission, the exercise will enable officials to maintain direct communication with Ghanaians, provide timely consular assistance, and, if necessary, coordinate evacuation arrangements to ensure the safety of citizens.
The directive applies to all categories of Ghanaian nationals in Qatar, including students, workers, families, and short-term visitors. Affected individuals are required to complete an online registration form provided by the Embassy.
Officials assured that all information submitted will be handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for official emergency and consular purposes.
The Embassy further indicated that updates and additional guidance will be communicated through its official channels as the situation evolves, urging nationals to remain alert and cooperate fully with the registration process.
