A fuel tanker has caught fire near the Kpone Barrier on the Tema-Aflao Road after reportedly overturning.
The driver and his mate are feared trapped in the vehicle, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Firefighters are at the scene battling the blaze and working to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby facilities.
The cause of the incident is not yet known.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes as emergency responders continue efforts to bring the fire under control.
