GA/R: Motorcyclist klled in Anyaa Market collision as GNFS responds swiftly
The Anyaa Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly to a rear-collision road traffic accident at Anyaa Market in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, shortly after the traffic light.
The distress call was received at 9:44 a.m., and fire service personnel arrived at the scene within five minutes, at 9:49 a.m.
The incident involved a motorcycle and a Man Diesel truck, resulting in partial damage to the motorcycle and the front section of the truck.
One male victim, believed to be the motorcyclist, died at the scene.
The body was subsequently handed over to the Police for further action.
Firefighters secured the accident scene, prevented potential secondary hazards, and worked closely with the Police and the National Ambulance Service to ensure the situation was managed safely until operations were concluded.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
