GJA partners with Margins Group to issue ID cards to members

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), in partnership with the Margins Group, has commenced the nationwide issuance of official identification cards to its members, a move aimed at enhancing the professional identity and recognition of journalists across the country.
The initiative, which began last year with the issuance of ID cards to national and selected regional executives, has now entered its full implementation phase.
Starting this week, all GJA members in good standing will receive their ID cards.
According to GJA, the new ID cards will facilitate the easy identification of journalists at events, especially in situations requiring official clearance, access, or verification.
“This partnership with Margins Group marks a significant step toward professionalising journalism in Ghana.
It is gratifying to note that members across the country will now be properly identified and recognised,” a GJA spokesperson said.
Margins Group, known for its expertise in identity management solutions, has provided technical support for the production and distribution of the cards.
The GJA encourages all eligible members to take advantage of the process, noting that the ID cards will serve not only as proof of membership but also as a tool for protection and validation in the line of duty.
