Ga Mantse stable after early Thursday morning road accident in Oti Region
The King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse, is reported to be in stable condition following a road accident that occurred in the early hours of Thursday, February 19, 2026.
The incident took place around 2 AM at Pai-Katanga in the Oti Region, as the Ga King was travelling back to Accra from Tamale, where he is said to have honoured an by Ya Na Abukari II.
As of press time, the Ga Mantse Palace has not released an official statement.
King Tsuru II's Tamale visit was described as cordial and significant, forming part of ongoing engagements among traditional leaders aimed at deepening unity and mutual respect between Ghana’s traditional institutions.
According to sources, the Ga Mantse’s vehicle was involved in an accident during the return journey.
He escaped unhurt and was said to be in good spirits.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service (GPS) reportedly responded promptly after being alerted to the incident.
