IGP orders release of Kwahu Queen-Mother, launches investigation into police operation
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohonu, has ordered the release of the Queen-Mother of Kwahu following a police operation that took place earlier this morning.
In a statement, the IGP directed the Police Professional Standards Bureau to investigate the circumstances surrounding the operation and ensure that any officers found culpable are appropriately sanctioned.
