Interior Minister to address press on cannabis licensing
The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, is scheduled to address a press conference today on cannabis licensing in Ghana.
The briefing is expected to take place at 2:00 p.m. on February 26, 2026, at the Information Services Department.
The engagement is anticipated to provide clarity on the regulatory framework governing cannabis cultivation, processing, and licensing in the country, as well as to outline the government’s policy direction on the matter.
Stakeholders in the agriculture, pharmaceutical and security sectors are expected to follow the briefing closely, given the growing interest in cannabis for industrial and medicinal purposes.![]()
