Ministry of Health appeals for donations to Ghana Medical Trust Fund

The Ministry of Health has issued a public appeal to individuals and corporate organisations to support the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTfund), a key initiative aimed at improving healthcare delivery and supporting medical professionals across the country.
In a statement, the Ministry emphasised the importance of collective support for the fund, encouraging all Ghanaians to contribute, regardless of the amount.
“Let us support #MahamaCares.
Every cedi counts,” the Ministry stated.
The Ministry also expressed appreciation to several organisations that have already responded to the call by making generous contributions to the fund.
These include:
Telecel
Alive Industries
East Cantonments Pharmacy
KMI Energy
According to the Ministry, additional donors—both individuals and organisations—will be acknowledged in due course.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund is part of broader efforts to strengthen the healthcare system and provide sustained financial support for critical medical needs.
