NGO launches ‘Clean for Cash’ programme to incentivise waste management

An environmental Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO), Fit For Future Association, has introduced a new initiative dubbed “Clean for Cash”, aimed at motivating and rewarding individuals involved in its waste management operations.

The programme is designed to ensure that every member’s contribution to environmental sanitation efforts is recognised and rewarded, while also making waste collection more attractive and sustainable.

Under the initiative, the organisation has invested funds into the waste collection process, allowing the system to operate on a business model that ensures financial flow at all levels of its structure.

According to the organisers, constituency executives will manage and control the funds, while supervisors will purchase collected waste from waste collectors.

This structure is expected to keep participants engaged, motivated and active in the sanitation drive.

Officials say the Clean for Cash programme will not only improve waste collection and environmental cleanliness but also create income opportunities and strengthen accountability within the organisation.

The NGO believes the initiative will contribute to improved sanitation practices while promoting community participation through financial incentives.
