NPP 'reeling with sorrow and grief,' calls for 'swift' and 'transparent' investigations into fatal crash of GAF's Z9

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has noted it is “reeling with sorrow and grief following the tragic crash of a military helicopter that claimed the lives of all eight persons onboard” including Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and Environment, Science & Technology Minister Dr Ibrahim Murtula Mohammed.
“Their passing is not only a devastating blow to their families but also a profound loss to the entire nation they worked to protect and build,” the main opposition recognised.
NPP expressed its “deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
“No words can truly capture the anguish of this moment. We pray that the Almighty God grants them comfort and strength during this excruciatingly difficult period.”
The party called for “a thorough, transparent, and swift investigation into the cause of the crash”.
“The dignity of the lives lost demands answers and accountability to ensure that such a tragedy never happens again,” NPP explained.
“In this time of grief, we call on all Ghanaians to come together in unity, prayer, and compassion. Let us stand with the families left behind. Let us console and strengthen one another,” the party urged.
“May the souls of these eight heroes rest in perfect peace until the last day of the Resurrection, vhen we shall meet again,” NPP prayed, in the statement signed by Justin Kodua Frimpong, General Secretary.
