Petr Pavel: Ghana is a pillar of stability and a natural partner for cooperation

President of the Czech Republic, H.E. Petr Pavel, has described Ghana as a “natural partner” for cooperation, highlighting the country’s stability, democratic values, and vast potential across multiple sectors.
Delivering remarks at the Czech-Ghana Business Cooperation Seminar held at the Mövenpick Hotel on Wednesday, April 8, President Pavel emphasized the importance of deepening ties between the two nations to improve the lives of their citizens.
“There are numerous areas of opportunity—from food processing to satellite technology—and I believe Ghana offers good prospects across all these sectors,” he stated.
President Pavel lauded Ghana for its robust democratic institutions, vibrant civil society, and economic promise, noting that these qualities make the country an ideal collaborator for the Czech Republic.
“Ghana is a natural partner to the Czech Republic. It is a country with high democratic standards, a strong economy, abundant natural resources, and favorable conditions for agriculture. Most importantly, it is not only stable itself but also contributes to regional stability,” he said.
In an era marked by global uncertainty, President Pavel expressed confidence in Ghana’s role as a beacon of cooperation and resilience.
“That’s why Ghana is a natural partner—to create islands of stability, goodwill, and collaboration in a world that is increasingly unstable,” he added.
President Pavel is in Ghana on a three-day state visit from Tuesday, April 8 to Thursday, April 10, 2025. The visit marks a significant step in the growing diplomatic and economic relationship between Ghana and the Czech Republic
