Police investigate shooting incident involving Adwoa Safo at Kwabenya
The Madina Divisional Police Command has launched an investigation into a shooting incident involving former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, at Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region.
According to a statement issued by the Accra Regional Police Command, preliminary investigations indicate that the incident occurred on Sunday, June 21, 2026, while Adwoa Safo was visiting her late father's residence at Kwabenya.
Police said she sustained a gunshot injury to her left ear and subsequently reported the incident to the Kwabenya Police.
The statement further disclosed that Adwoa Safo presented a vehicle with registration number GN 3482-24, which showed visible gunshot damage.
Police have issued the former legislator with a medical report form and confirmed that she is receiving medical treatment.
The vehicle has been retained for forensic examination as part of ongoing investigations.
According to the police, efforts are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify all persons connected to the incident.
