A heated confrontation between a police officer and an official of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) caused a tense moment after the police officer reportedly drew his firearm during the altercation.

The incident, which was captured on video and has since gone viral, showed the two men engaged in a fierce verbal exchange before the situation escalated.

At the height of the confrontation, the police officer allegedly pulled out his service weapon, raising concerns among onlookers and prompting immediate intervention from nearby bystanders.

Several people quickly stepped in to calm the situation and prevent it from escalating further. 

Their intervention helped defuse the standoff before any injuries were reported.

The circumstances that led to the confrontation remain unclear and neither the Ghana Police Service nor the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly has officially commented on the incident.
