SML cautions media organisations against "false, malicious" publications
Revenue assurance firm, Strategic Mobilisation Limited, has cautioned the Ghanaian media against the publication of false and defamatory reports against the company.
In a statement issued by its lawyers on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, SML said that it has noticed a trend of certain individuals and media organisations churning out false stories against it.
According to the company, a significant chunk of the comments and publications are misrepresentations maliciously churned out to tarnish its message.
It is therefore advising media houses to "cease and desist immediately from inviting individuals or allowing the broadcast, publication, or dissemination of false or defamatory statements regarding our Client, its directors, officers, or operations."
The company, through its lawyers is also urging the Ghanaian media to "exercise due care and editorial oversight by being mindful of what statements or opinions guests make on your platforms, and take all reasonable steps to prevent the dissemination of false or defamatory information about our Client and ake all reasonable steps to prevent the recurrence of such defamatory publications by ensuring thorough editorial verification, fact-checking, and monitoring of your content," it said.
Until recently, SML provided revenue assurance services to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
Despite a wave of allegations, the company maintains its innocence and insists it fully honoured every clause of its contract with the Government of Ghana.
