Sharsh Hotel CEO launches RedCup Family Welfare Fund club to foster unity in Suhum

The Chief Executive Officer of Sharsh Hotel in Suhum, Mr. Stephen Adjei, has officially launched the Friends of RedCup Family Welfare Fund Club, an initiative aimed at uniting citizens and providing vital support to members and their families during times of need.
Speaking to Accra FM/CTV news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, Mr. Adjei emphasised his commitment to the well-being of club members, stating, “I value my members and believe that everyone has the right to be happy, healthy, and safe.
That’s why we created the RedCup Family Welfare Fund—to help our members and their dependents in times of need.”
The RedCup Family Welfare Fund offers assistance for a range of situations, from support in old age to help with unexpected expenses during crises.
Each application for funding is carefully reviewed on a case-by-case basis, ensuring that members receive personalised support.
The fund operates as a charity, managed by a Board of Trustees and overseen by an independent committee.
Members are encouraged to contribute a monthly donation of GHC 10 to sustain the fund’s activities.
Plans are also underway to open a dedicated account to further support members facing illness or personal hardship.
Mr. Adjei highlighted the fund’s role in helping members meet important financial obligations, including social support for weddings, naming ceremonies, funerals, and other significant life events.
“We wish to secure the financial future of our members by investing a portion of their income on their behalf, ensuring they have resources to rely on during difficult times,” he explained.
The launch event also saw support from Suhum Okorase Mbratehene, who praised the initiative for promoting peace and unity within the Suhum Municipality.
Several RedCup Family members shared their appreciation for the club, echoing the CEO’s call for continued unity and open communication.
Mr. Adjei concluded by expressing heartfelt gratitude to all members for their ongoing support and encouraged everyone to work together for the betterment of Suhum
“Let the unity we have continue. Even if there’s something we don’t understand, let’s talk among ourselves, because the only way we can build Suhum is together,” he said.
