VP Opoku-Agyemang to go abroad for 'further care' after UGMC admission over 'sudden illness'

Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang (NJOA) received treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Saturday, March 30, 2025.
According to a statement dated Sunday, March 30, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP) Spokesperson to the President & Minister, Government Communications, Prof NJOA's admission to hospital was "due to a sudden illness that occurred after work on Friday, March 28, 2025".
Without disclosing details, the statement revealed "based on expert medical opinion," the vice president "will be seeking further care abroad".
The Presidency prayed for Prof NJOA's "speedy recovery" in conclusion.
