Vice President pays courtesy call on Oguaa Omanhen at Emintsimadze palace

Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has paid a courtesy call on the Oguaa Omanhen, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, at the Emintsimadze Palace in Cape Coast.
The visit formed part of her engagements in the Central Region, where she was received by the paramount chief, queen mothers, the Central Regional Minister, MMDCEs from across the region, and other traditional and community leaders.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang expressed deep appreciation to the chiefs and people of Oguaa for their support during the 2025 general elections.
She also thanked them for their warm wishes and prayers following her assumption of office as Ghana's first female Vice President.
In her remarks, she emphasised the need for unity and collective effort in shaping a prosperous and inclusive Ghana. She called for continued collaboration between traditional authorities and the government to advance national development.
Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, in his response, commended the Vice President for her selfless service and immense contributions to the country. He described her as a proud daughter of the land and reaffirmed the support of the Oguaa Traditional Area for her leadership.
Background:
The Vice President is in the Central Region ahead of the 2025 PANAFEST celebrations. She is expected to attend the Pan-African Historical Theatre Festival (PANAFEST) tomorrow in Cape Coast.
The Vice President will also pay a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Komenda Traditional Area, Okatakyi Komeh VIII, on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
