Weija-Gbawe MP supports Homowo and traditional leaders

The Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency in the Greater Accra Region and Second Deputy Minority Whip, Mr Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has reaffirmed his commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of his constituency by actively participating in this year’s activities to mark the Homowo celebrations.
As part of the festivities, Mr Shaib visited several traditional palaces, including the Gbawe Mantse’s Palace, Gbawe Manye, Tetegu Mantse, Oblogo Mantse’s Palace, Weija Mantse’s Palace, and Gbawe Gonse Mantse’s Palace.
At each location, he presented donations in support of the celebrations, reflecting his respect for the customs and traditions of the Ga people.
The MP’s engagement with chiefs, elders, and community members was aimed at fostering unity, strengthening relationships, and promoting collaboration between traditional authorities and his office for the peace and development of the constituency.
Mr. Shaib’s participation underscores his dedication to the cultural identity of Weija-Gbawe, as well as his belief that safeguarding tradition is essential to community pride and cohesion.
