35-year-old man abducted in alleged robbery at Fijai

Residents of Fijai, a community in the Gomoa East District near Kasoa in the Central Region, have been left in shock after 35-year-old Ben Owusu, popularly known as Bra Ben, was reportedly abducted during what is believed to be a robbery attack at his home.
Ben, who sells Plaster of Paris (POP) products around Accra Lane, is said to have sent a desperate message to his landlord at about 2:50 a.m., warning that armed robbers had broken into his residence and pleading for urgent police assistance.
However, the landlord failed to respond immediately.
Fearing for his safety, Ben also contacted a female friend nearby.
When help finally arrived and his room was forced open, the suspected robbers had already escaped.
Witnesses reported finding bloodstains on the floor, suggesting that Ben may have been injured before being taken away.
According to residents, Ben’s Android phone was missing, while two other phones and a laptop had been damaged in the attack.
The police have since been alerted and have launched a full investigation into the abduction and the circumstances surrounding the case.
Speaking to the media on condition of anonymity, one neighbour described the incident as deeply troubling and called for stronger security measures in the area to protect lives and property.
