Ashiaman Circuit Court grants one accused person in soldier murder trial bail

The Ashiaman Circuit Court has granted one of the six accused persons allegedly involved in murdering a military officer at Ashaiman Taifa in the Greater Accra Region bail.
The court granted Abdul Ibrahim Rakib bail on the condition of ill health.
The lawyer for the accused person, Abdul Fatawu Alhassan, put it to the court to grant his client bail because he was battling a stomach ulcer.
The lawyer was also a counsel for Safianu Mustafa and Abdul Gafaru.
The presiding judge, Simon Gaga, granted the third accused person, Abdul Ibrahim Rakib, bail and asked him to report to the Police hospital at Cantonments in Accra or any other government hospital for treatment.
He was granted bail with three (3) sureties and GHS 150,000.
The other five (5) accused persons will reappear in court on April 25, 2023.
The young soldier was stabbed to death when he resisted attempts by his attackers to rob him
