Bishop Salifu Amoako and wife request Police, media blackout for accused son
The General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, and his wife, Mouha Amoako, appeared in court for a second time over a case involving their son.
The couple, alongside their sales assistant, Linda Owusu-Bempah, faces charges related to allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle.
During the court session, Bishop Salifu requested an injunction to prevent the media and police from publishing photos of their son, citing privacy concerns and the potential impact on his well-being, as he is a minor.
The case stems from a tragic accident in East Legon in which two teenagers lost their lives.
The couple’s son, Elrad, was deemed unable to attend court due to injuries he sustained in the incident.
A medical report from the University of Ghana Medical Centre indicated that Elrad is currently recovering from ankle dislocations, lacerations, and ligament tears.
After being discharged on October 28, he was advised to avoid bearing weight on his right leg, leaving him unfit for police questioning at this time.
