Police secures conviction of rogue TikToker

The Ghana Police Service has secured the conviction of David Kwodwo Prah Afful, popularly known as Kwame Nkrumah II, following his arrest on 13th September 2025 for inciting violence against public officials and government workers.
He was arraigned before Circuit Court 8 in Accra, presided over by His Honour Amoah Hagan, on two charges — Threat of Death and Offensive Conduct Conducive to the Breach of the Peace.
Afful pleaded not guilty to the first charge of Threat of Death but admitted guilt to the second charge of Offensive Conduct. Based on his own plea, the court convicted him and sentenced him to seven months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
The charge of Threat of Death has been adjourned to 15th October 2025 for further hearing.
According to police, Afful will be transferred to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison to serve his sentence.
In a statement, the Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to upholding public peace and national security, stressing that individuals whose actions endanger the safety of others will face the full rigour of the law.
