A young man has reportedly been arrested after allegedly selling his employer's tricycle, popularly called “Pragya”, and falsely claiming it had been stolen by armed robbers.

The suspect allegedly convinced his employer to hand over the ownership documents of the tricycle, claiming he needed them to facilitate his work.

"The tricycle rider deceived his employer into handing over the ownership documents of the tricycle to help him work," Crime Check GH reported.

The suspect is alleged to have used the documents to sell the tricycle at Wassa Akropong in the Western Region for GH¢30,000 without the owner's knowledge or consent.

"However, he allegedly used the documents to sell the Pragya at Wassa Akropong for GH¢30,000," the report stated.

To conceal the alleged sale, the suspect reportedly informed his employer that the tricycle had been stolen during an armed robbery incident.
