2023 BECE ends today

This year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has ended across the country, today, Friday 11 August 2023.
The 2023 BECE commenced on, Monday, 7 August 2023.
Over 600,000 candidates sat for the BECE.
This year's figure represents a substantial increase of 5.4% compared to the previous year.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) revealed that the candidates consisted of approximately 300,323 males and 300,391 females, hailing from both private and public Junior High Schools.
A total of 18,993 educational institutions will participate in the examination, with 2,137 centers designated to accommodate the candidates.
The students embarked on their journey with the Religious and Moral Education and English Language papers and ended with French, today.
Class 91.3 FM’s Volta Regional Correspondent Kingsley Attitsogbe toured some centres in the Volta Regional Capital, Ho, including the Mawuli Senior High (SHS) centre among others, where the students expressed joy at the completion of their basic education.
