The Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast North in the Central Region,Mr  Kwamina Mintah  Nyarku, has supported 200 first-year Senior High School (SHS) students in his constituency with chop boxes as they prepare to begin their secondary education.

The gesture, which has become an annual initiative by the MP, aims to ease the financial burden on parents and encourage access to education for students from less-privileged homes.

In addition to the student support, all 30 electoral areas within the constituency each received five LED street bulbs to help improve security and visibility in local communities.

Speaking to the media after the presentation, Mr. Minta Nyarku explained that his choice to donate chop boxes rather than cash this year was based on the needs of students.
He said the items provided would have a direct and lasting impact on the students’ academic journey, ensuring they are better prepared for boarding school life.

“It’s not always about giving out money. Sometimes, practical items like chop boxes are more meaningful and useful to the students and their families,” he stated.

The MP also urged the students to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies, advising them to stay away from distractions that could derail their academic progress.

Some of the beneficiary students and parents expressed profound gratitude to the MP for his continued support, describing the gesture as timely and inspiring.

They also prayed for his success so that the MP can continue assisting more families in the constituency.

Mr. Minta Nyarku reaffirmed his dedication to improving education and community well-being in Cape Coast North, promising to continue initiatives that promote learning, safety, and development.
