Dzodze-Penyi SHS Headmaster asked to step aside over alleged sexual misconduct
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has ordered the Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, Mr. Joshua Vidzro, to step aside with immediate effect. The directive, issued on Saturday, December 6, 2025, comes amid claims linking him to alleged sexual misconduct involving some female students.
GES explained that the temporary removal is to protect the integrity of the ongoing inquiry and prevent any possible influence on the process. Mr. Vidzro has been directed to hand over all school-related documents, responsibilities, and property in his possession to the Ketu North Municipal Director of Education.
He is required to complete the handover and leave the school campus by Monday, December 8, 2025. Although relieved of his post for now, he must make himself available to assist investigators and is barred from contacting the students or any individuals who may be involved in the case.
The Service clarified that the action is not a declaration of guilt but an administrative step to ensure transparency and due process. Meanwhile, the Ketu North Municipal Director of Education has been assigned to manage the affairs of Dzodze-Penyi SHS until further directives are issued.
