GES secures financial clearance for payment of 6,249 newly recruited teachers

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that it has received financial clearance for the payment of salaries to six thousand two hundred and forty-nine (6,249) teachers who were recruited in 2024.
In a statement issued on Thursday, 16th October 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Daniel Feyi, the GES indicated that the clearance paves the way for the completion of all administrative and payroll processes to ensure that the affected teachers begin receiving their salaries soon.
The statement noted that although the financial clearance is valid until 31st December 2025, management is working to ensure that all eligible teachers are placed on the government’s mechanised payroll in time for November 2025 salary payments.
“Management wishes to thank all staff for their dedication and assures them of its commitment to facilitating timely and accurate salary payments,” the statement concluded.
