Ghana to host 2025 trial of Association for the Development of Education in Africa
The Ministry of Education Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, has announced that Ghana has been selected to host the 2025 trial of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa.
The event will take place at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra from October 29th to 31st, 2025.
The conference is expected to bring together 350 participants, including over 30 Ministers of Education, high-level representatives from the World Bank, African Development Bank, UNESCO, Gates Foundation, Mastercard Foundation, senior policymakers, thought leaders, researchers, and academia.
The conference will focus on sharing knowledge and evidence on groundbreaking innovations that can promote education in Africa.
Key areas of discussion will include strategies for enhancing foundational learning, leveraging technology and data to improve learning outcomes, and advancing technical and higher education.
The event will also explore the impact of artificial intelligence on education, including how it will affect the way we learn, teach, and govern education in the future.
The conference will provide a platform for knowledge sharing, peer learning, and partnership building among stakeholders in the education sector.
Participants will discuss proven strategies for turning educational challenges into opportunities and framing solutions to problems.
Ghana's commitment to ending learning poverty by 2035 was highlighted, with the country sharing its vision and experience with the rest of Africa and the world.
The event will be opened by His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama.
The conference aims to accelerate learning outcomes for millions of African children and commit to actions that will improve education provision across the continent.
Ghana's experience in improving out-of-school children and integrating them back into school will be shared as a model for other countries to learn from.
