Kwahu West: 13 basic schools receive Science and Maths equipment to boost learning
Thirteen basic schools in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region have received a major boost following the provision of Science and Mathematics equipment aimed at strengthening teaching and learning in these core subjects.
The items, which include laptops, scientific calculators, and full sets of science and maths apparatus, were presented as part of ongoing efforts to improve academic performance in the municipality.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Tamimu Halidu, handed over the equipment to the schools and encouraged both teachers and students to handle the resources with care.
He stressed that the tools should be effectively utilised to help raise educational standards, particularly in science and mathematics.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the beneficiary schools, the Municipal Director of Education, Mr George Yankyera, expressed appreciation for the support.
He noted that the Directorate is committed to ensuring the items are used appropriately to produce the desired impact.
Mr. Yankyera added that the intervention is expected to drive an improvement in science and maths performance, with a target increase from 90% to 95%.
He thanked the MCE for his dedication to enhancing education and assured him that the Directorate would closely monitor the use of the equipment to ensure maximum benefit
