Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers mourn victims of military helicopter crash

The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight Ghanaians, including two government ministers, in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
In a heartfelt condolence message issued on Thursday, the Association extended its sympathies to the government, the people of Ghana, and particularly the families of the deceased.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of the sudden death of two honourable ministers and six others in the tragic incident,” the statement read.
Signed by Chairman Mr. Henry Okyere Jnr., General Secretary Mrs. Gifty Lovelock Fianu, Head of Communications Mr. Benjamin Takyi Addo, and Financial Secretary Mr. Samuel Adjei Omari, the Association described the incident as a great national tragedy.
“Our hearts go out to the families of the victims and all those affected by this devastating event.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ghana during this difficult time and pray for peace, comfort and strength for all,” they added.
The crash, which occurred on Wednesday, August 6, involved a Ghana Armed Forces Z-9 helicopter en route to Obuasi.
Among the casualties were the Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed.
The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Dealers Association concluded with a prayer for the departed: “May the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace.”
