COVID-19: WASSCE put on hold
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has put on hold this year’s West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) following the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
A statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs WAEC, Agnes Teye-Cudjoe said that “this is in line with the protocols put in place by governments of WAEC member countries to prevent the spread of the virus.”
Ghana has recorded 16 cases of the infection.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared coronavirus a pandemic.
