E/R: Deputy Finance Minister cuts sod for new Nyameben access road

The Deputy Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Constituency in the Eastern Region, Mr Thomas Nyarko Ampem, has cut the sod for the construction of a new road linking Nyameben, a fishing community in the constituency, directly to the Akosombo–Gyakiti road, which is also currently under construction.
The project is expected to open up Nyameben to economic opportunities, particularly in fish farming and agriculture, by improving access to markets and attracting potential investors.
According to the Deputy Minister, the road will not only enhance movement for farmers and traders but also contribute to the overall development of the community.
“This road will open up Nyameben to investors who are interested in fish farming and also make it easier for farmers to transport their produce to market centres,” Mr. Nyarko Ampem stated.
The construction forms part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure in Asuogyaman to boost trade, create jobs, and enhance livelihoods.
