ECG resolves power service hitch

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says it has resolved the technical challenges that affected its prepaid metering systems.
Some customers could not buy power as a result of the problem.
The power distribution company, in a statement, noted that customers in the Greater Accra, Central, Eastern, Western and Volta regions can now purchase power when they visit their district offices.
ECG said its team is working to restore the systems in the affected areas, including Kumasi and Tema, as well as the 3rd party vending centres and the mobile app.
The company has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
Power consumers across certain parts of the country have, for the past 48 hours, been unable to purchase power on their prepaid meters because of the hitch.
