On behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, Minister for Defence Dr. Edward Omane Boamah officially opened the 2025 Africa Land Forces Summit yesterday at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, shortly after the Ceremonial Change of Guard at the Jubilee House.

The Africa Land Forces Summit serves as a strategic platform for fostering collaboration and enhancing the defence capabilities and operational effectiveness of armed forces across the continent.
With a strong emphasis on information sharing, counter-intelligence, and counter-terrorism, the summit aims to strengthen global and regional peace and security frameworks.

The U.S. Government remains a key partner in the organization of the summit and has provided significant logistical and technical support.
