How Ghana Airports Company awarded over GH₵1.26 million uniform supply contract to Viggis Ventures

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), under its procurement cabal, under the auspices of the Managing Director(MD), Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare managed to redesign the existing unifroms and issued a Local Purchase Order (LPO) worth over GH₵1.26 million to Viggis Ventures Limited, an alleged hardware company, for the supply of uniforms and related apparel for over two hundred staff.
According to LPO No. GACL/PROC/3618/2024 in possession of Classfmonline.com, the contract covers various items, including men’s and women’s jackets, trousers, skirts, shirts, and skirt suits.
The quantities ordered range from 40 to 350 pieces per item, with unit prices between GH₵442.00 and GH₵3,609.00, respectively.
The financial breakdown shows a sub-total of GH₵1,216,292.00, with Value Added Tax (VAT) at 4% amounting to GH₵48,651.68, bringing the total contract value to GH₵1,264,943.68.
Delivery of the items has been confirmed as required, with payment to be made on account.
Viggis Ventures Limited, based in Accra, is listed as the supplier for the order per the pro forma invoice.
The contract, according to sources within the company, was sole-sourced and later ratified by the Public Procurement Authority(PPA).
