I don't own a $3m house in my constituency: Ablakwa

The Foreign Affairs Ministry nominee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has strongly denied claims that he owns a $3 million house in his constituency.
Speaking during his vetting by the Appointments Committee on Friday, January 31, Ablakwa addressed the allegations, which have been circulating in the media.
He categorically stated that the claims are false and have been fabricated to tarnish his reputation.
Ablakwa explained that the accusations regarding the alleged property had no basis in fact and were part of a broader attempt to discredit him. He expressed his disappointment at such unfounded rumours, which he described as politically motivated.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry nominee also clarified that he does not own any such property in the constituency, emphasising that his focus remains on serving the people of his constituency and the nation.
He further stated that these allegations are part of a larger campaign to undermine his credibility as a public servant.
Ablakwa made it clear that he would not be distracted by these baseless claims and would continue to focus on the important work ahead.
He assured his supporters that his integrity remains intact, and he would take all necessary measures to protect his reputation.
Ablakwa's response came after the allegations were widely reported, sparking public discussion.
While he dismissed the claims as false, the Foreign Affairs Ministry nominee highlighted the importance of addressing such issues head-on and maintaining transparency in public office.
