IPR Ghana Executive Council calls on President Mahama
The Executive Council of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana, led by its President, Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, paid a courtesy call on President John Dramani Mahama on January 22, 2025.
The meeting reinforced IPR Ghana's commitment to ethical communication and its 50th-anniversary theme, "Public Relations for Value Creation."
As a proud Fellow of the Institute, President Mahama reaffirmed his belief in the power of communication to shape national development.
He emphasized the importance of media freedom, the modernization of the Information Services Department (ISD), and upgrading the Ghana News Agency (GNA) to meet contemporary standards.
During the engagement, the President pledged his support for securing a permanent office for IPR Ghana and expressed his backing for the upcoming International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Global Gala, scheduled for October 2025.
The visit underscored the role of strategic communication in nation-building and highlighted the collaborative efforts between IPR Ghana and key stakeholders in advancing professional public relations practice in the country.
