Mahama to cut sod for Farmer Service Centre under 24-Hour Economy project
John Dramani Mahama is expected to cut the sod for the construction of a Farmer Service Centre at Takoratwene in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region as part of the government’s flagship 24-Hour Economy project.
The sod-cutting ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2026, forms part of efforts to strengthen agricultural productivity and support farmers with improved services and infrastructure.
The project is aimed at transforming agriculture, enhancing value chains and supporting the broader agenda of powering a 24-hour economy to drive national development and prosperity.
The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, is expected to attend the ceremony as the Special Guest.
According to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Farmer Service Centre will provide critical support services to farmers in the area, helping to improve access to agricultural inputs, extension services and modern farming techniques.
