NDC exposes three police officers allegedly involved in looting of state establishments

The Greater Accra Regional office of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a disclaimer, distancing the party from alleged illegal activities involving three police officers: Ebenezer Mortey (58283), Bright Opoku Agyei (58551), Appiah De-Graft (58631), and others.
In a statement signed by the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, the party expressed concern over reports of these officers claiming to act on behalf of the Office of the President.
The officers are accused of seizing vehicles from public officers and invading government establishments and warehouses in the Greater Accra Region.
The statement categorically denied any authorization from the Office of the President or the NDC leadership for such actions, labelling them as criminal.
“It is important to note that no one has been instructed by the Office of the President to engage in such criminal acts,” the statement emphasized.
The NDC Regional Office urged the public to remain vigilant and report any such activities to the appropriate authorities.
It provided contact numbers for reporting incidents involving these individuals or others claiming to have directives from the party hierarchy:
Superintendent John Danso, Director of Operations at the Accra Regional Police Headquarters: 0553042470 Prosper Bani, Head of the Interim Security Taskforce at the Office of the President.
The statement reaffirmed the NDC's commitment to upholding law and order and called on citizens to support efforts to address the situation promptly.
