President Mahama inaugurates 120-day social contract taskforce
President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated a 19-member task force to oversee the implementation of key initiatives outlined in his 120-day Social Contract.
The task force, chaired by Senior Presidential Advisor Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, includes Cabinet Ministers and other key officials from the Office of the President.
Its primary mandate is to ensure the timely execution of the reforms and initiatives President Mahama promised during the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Addressing the team at its inaugural meeting, President Mahama emphasized the need for efficiency and collaboration in delivering on his commitments.
He specifically highlighted the removal of the E-Levy and other "nuisance taxes" as top priorities.
In response, Dr. Sawyerr assured the President and the Ghanaian public of the task force’s dedication to fulfilling its mandate, pledging that they would work diligently to meet the expectations set out in the Social Contract.
